beepit Privacy Policy

beepit is operated by Loud Ground, LLC, a South Carolina company (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use the beepit app and website, why, who can see it, how long we keep it and how to delete it. Questions: [email protected].
The short version
- Attendees can join an event without giving a name, phone number or email.
- We don’t sell your information, show ads, or track you across other apps or websites.
- Our websites use Google Analytics to understand visits. The beepit app does not use any analytics.
- We keep personal information only as long as the event it belongs to needs it, then remove it on a fixed schedule.
- You can delete your account yourself at any time.
What we collect
Phone number or email. Organizers, event staff and attendees who choose to sign in verify a phone number. We store the number or address and the date it was verified. We don’t collect names of people; organizers give an organization or event name.
Device and session information. The app creates a random installation ID on your device and registers a push notification token so you can receive event updates. We keep records of your sign-in sessions (stored in a form that can’t be used to sign in) and when they were last used.
What you post. Broadcasts and pinned messages that organizers and staff send to attendees; team chat and season chat messages between staff; and voice notes, on plans that include them. Organizers also give event and group names and can upload a logo and banner. Live commentary audio is streamed live through our server and is never recorded or stored.
Reports and blocks. When you report a message we keep a copy of it (up to 1,000 characters), the reason you chose and any details you add. We keep the list of people you have blocked. We record when you accept our content terms.
Organizer purchases. Organizers pay on our website through Stripe. Stripe collects card details and an email address directly on its checkout page; we never see or store card numbers. We keep the payment reference, amount and date with the event.
Technical logs. Our servers log requests, including IP addresses, to keep the service running and secure. To prevent abuse, we briefly keep counts of sign-in attempts per phone number, email, device and IP address.
Website analytics. Our websites, beepit.app and account.beepit.app, use Google Analytics to measure visits: which pages are viewed, how people arrive, and general device, browser and approximate location (city or country) details. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate location and does not store. We don’t send Google Analytics your phone number, email, join codes or any message content, and we don’t use it for advertising. The beepit app does not use Google Analytics.
What we don’t collect. Precise location, contacts, photos, advertising IDs, browsing history or health information. The app contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
How we use it
We use this information only to run beepit: to verify sign-ins, deliver broadcasts, chat and notifications, keep events and groups organized, handle reports and blocks, take payments, give organizers their event reports, answer support requests, understand how our websites are used, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Who can see what
- Attendees see the broadcasts and pinned messages of the events they join. They never see other attendees or the team chat.
- Team chat members see each other’s messages. Senders are shown by the last four digits of their phone number (or a shortened email), not the full number.
- Organizers can see the phone number or email address of people in their groups who signed in, on their organizer dashboard. People who joined without signing in have no number or email to show.
- Event reports that organizers receive show chat senders only as “Organizer”, “Staff 1”, “Staff 2” and so on, never by phone number or email. Voice notes appear only as a count.
- Reports you file go to the event’s organizer and to the beepit team.
Services we use
We share information only with companies that run parts of beepit for us, and only what each needs:
- Twilio sends sign-in codes by text message and receives the phone number the code goes to.
- Postmark delivers our system email, such as report notifications to our team.
- Stripe processes organizer payments.
- Expo, Apple and Google deliver push notifications. A notification carries its message text and event name to your device through these services.
- Hetzner hosts our servers and databases in the United States.
- Google Analytics measures visits to beepit.app and account.beepit.app. It receives page views, device and browser details and your IP address. Google signals is turned off, and we don’t use it for advertising.
- Expo also delivers app updates, which involves no personal information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
How long we keep it

If an organizer adds you to an event that never goes live, your information stays until the organizer deletes that event or their account, or you delete your account.
“Removed” means we permanently strip your phone number, email, device ID and tokens from our records. What remains, such as the fact that a message was delivered, can’t be connected to you. Messages, voice notes and reports are deleted outright. We keep anonymous counts, such as how many messages an event sent.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time without contacting us. In the app, go to your Dashboard and tap “Delete account”; if you joined without signing in, open the event and tap “Forget me on this device”. Organizers delete their account at account.beepit.app/organizer/delete. Details are on our account deletion page.
Deleting your account immediately removes your phone number or email, device ID, tokens, sessions, voice notes, blocks and chat memberships. Text messages you sent in a team chat stay in that event, shown as “Deleted user”, until that chat is deleted on the schedule above. Deleting an organizer account permanently deletes all of its events, season passes, chats and reports.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete it by emailing [email protected] from, or about, the phone number or email you use with beepit. We will confirm the request is yours and respond within 30 days. We don’t sell or share personal information for advertising, and we won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
You can stop Google Analytics on our websites by blocking cookies in your browser or with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Children
beepit is not for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 is using beepit, email [email protected] and we will delete their information.
Security
All connections to beepit are encrypted. Sign-in sessions are stored in a form that can’t be used to sign in, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run beepit. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and keep only what we need.
Where your information is processed
beepit’s servers are in the United States. If you use beepit from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update this page and its effective date. For significant changes we will also tell users in the app or on our website.
